Lions Country Cruizin'
We at the Hyde Park Lions Club
are pleased to sponsor the third season of our Country Cruizin
at Steve Plunkett's, Fleetwood Farm.

| Our Cruize is set
on a private golf course on Steve Plunkett's
estate. The setting features streams, bridges,
trees, and grass - no hot, dry pavement under
foot for the delightful country evenings. |
The
"Cruizin" takes place every
Thursday evening, weather permitting, from mid-May through September, 2010.
Last year, with
everyone's help we raised over $14,000 for the Lions
Foundation of Canada and its Dog Guide program. Thank you to all
the folks who made donations and supported this valuable
effort of Lions. With
everyone's help, it all adds up.
We especially
want to thank all of our sponsors for their support this
year. An especial thank you to the folks at Tim Horton's
for their continued contributions to our efforts.
In spite of a
significant number of weather-related cancellations last
year, we exceeded the previous year's financial success. Our records
indicate that we averaged 219 show vehicles every week,
occasionally reaching almost 300 on some nights. We were
able to function on twelve nights, but lost eight nights to
rain and flooded ground.
We hope to see
all your friendly faces this year at the Country
Cruizin, which is now running on Thursday nights
(weather permitting) until September 23.
