Right"
The District A-1
Sight Conservation Foundation, commonly called "Eyes Right",
is a charitable foundation established by the Lions of District A-1
to contribute to the preservation of eyesight. Through this
foundation, the District A-1 Lions Clubs have contributed many
specialized devices for eye treatment and diagnosis to several
hospitals in Southwestern Ontario.
Eyes right is an
on-going project in Southwestern Ontario. It is a foundation that is
supported by funds collected by the Lions Clubs of District A-1, and
these funds are all spent in this area. The foundation is a
registered charity.
The Need
In todays health
care environment hospitals & clinics need assistance to fund new
technology/new equipment used in the area of eye care.
The Purpose
To provide
funding to hospitals and/or clinics in District A-1 to create
Centres of Excellence in eye care.
To
promote the awareness of the need of donated cornea.
Past
Accomplishments
The foundation
began raising funds in the fall of 1990. With the generous support
