Throughout the history of the Model T, the most popular Model T body style was the touring car. More touring cars were sold every year than any other body style.

On a Sunday afternoon, families could go for a ride in a Model T instead of the horse and wagon. Families could go much farther in an automobile and that began to change the social fabric of the country.

A starter was a $75 option on Ford's open cars such as this touring car. However, the price of a new Ford was within the reach of just about anyone by 1922. The touring car seen here sold for about $400.
